ARCO regrets to inform its members of the death, on Tuesday 30th April 2024, of a serving officer of Óglaigh na hÉireann, Lieutenant Conal Sheeran, Two Mile, Clonbrusk, Athlone, Westmeath. Predeceased by his grandparents Frank and Kathleen Brennan (Claremorris) and Dessie Sheeran (Moate). Adored by his heartbroken parents Commandant Frank (53 Cadet Class) and Imelda, his sister Rebecca and her fiancé Chris (Kay). Deeply missed by his parents, sister, brother-in-law, his nana Beesie (Sheeran), his aunts, uncles, cousins, grand aunts, grand uncles, his colleagues in the Air Corps and Óglaigh na h-Eireann and by all his wonderful friends.
Sleep Tight Conal
Conal enlisted in the Defence Forces in 2012 as a Recruit in 1 Infantry Battalion, before joining the 70 Air Corps Apprentice Class, also in the same year. He graduated from this training in 2016 and subsequently became a member of the 36 Air Corps Cadet Class in 2017. Conal completed this training and was commissioned as an Officer in the Air Corps in 2020. He completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Military Aviation Technology in NUI Galway.
Reposing at his residence (Two Mile, Clonbrusk, N37 FT29) on Thursday from 2pm until 8pm. Funeral Service in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Coosan on Friday at 12 noon followed by private cremation afterwards. (https://www.churchservices.tv/coosan)
