Further to our recent e mail to you containing an internal notice for DF members concerning the Tribunal of Inquiry which we shared for your awareness, the following specifically applies or is relevant to veterans:
Any veterans invited to attend an interview with the Tribunal’s legal team can contact the Defence Forces Liaison and Co-Ordination Office (LCO) at McKee Barracks, Dublin 7, D07 A065 or by email at DF_LCO@defenceforces.ie for more information. They should give their full name, home address and contact phone number and email. The LCO will then pass this information on to the DF Legal team who will contact the individual directly.
Please be aware that the INSPIRE Counselling Service is available to serving personnel and their families only.
However, any veteran affected by TOI related issues can contact the DF Personnel Support Service at any military location or at pss@defenceforces.ie. PSS team members will offer advice and signposting to appropriate external services to veterans on request.
Please rest assured that we will arrange for further relevant information to be shared in the future as it becomes available.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Members should be aware that there is a contract between ONE and Laya Healthcare / Spectrum to provide counselling. As with all ONE support services, it is available to every veteran of the Defence Forces. This ONE service has been in place since 2023 and is in receipt of state funding since September 2025. Access details for the ONE service are contained in this flyer.
