On Thursday 27 June 2019, at 12 Noon, ONE (The Organisation of National Ex-Service Personnel/Óglaigh Náisiúnta na hÉireann) launches its annual Fuchsia Appeal at the National Memorial in Merrion Square West.
The Appeal helps to fund ONE hostels for homeless veterans, to put in place preventative measures to avert homelessness, and the provision of other support services for veterans of the Defence Forces.
The Chief of Staff of the Defence Forces, Vice Admiral Mark Mellett DSM, will launch the Appeal.
