This event is part of our ongoing work on military community engagement and career transition, and it aims to provide valuable insights into the career paths of our esteemed panellists, the realities of transitioning from the Defence Forces to the Civil Service, and a formal structuring of transition to other branches of the Public Services.

Moderated by Captain Phillip Quinlan (Retd), a member of the ARCO Executive Committee, this engaging panel discussion will feature distinguished panellists including John Boylan from the Department of Transport, Gerry Waldron, and Donal Gallagher from the Department of Foreign Affairs, Graeme Towell from the Department of Defence, and Danny O’Sullivan, from the Department of Housing and Local Government.

The event will kick off with light refreshments at 18:30, followed by the panel discussion from 19:00 to 20:00. The discussion will delve into the career journeys of our panellists, shedding light on the realities of transitioning from the Defence Forces to the Civil Service, as well as the formal structuring of transition to other branches of the Public Services. Following the panel discussion, there will be an opportunity for networking and further conversations.
