The following two upcoming virtual lectures will be of interest to ARCO members and will help pass a few very interesting hours during lockdown.
Peace Keeping on the Edge
Comdt Kevin McDonald RO and ARCO member is currently undergoing a Masters in Peace and Conflict Studies and will deliver a lecture, via MS Teams, to the University of Chichester Political Department. The title of the lecture is ‘Peace Keeping on the Edge’ and is focused on Lebanon 2006 from Kevin’s personal and professional perspective. He was serving with UNTSO at that time as an observer.
Kevin’s lecture will be of interest to ARCO members who served in UNIFIL/Lebanon at the time or indeed at any other time.

Ireland’s role on the Security Council
Mr. Simon Coveney T.D., Minister for Defence and Minister for Foreign Affairs, will deliver the next UCC-Defence Forces Lecture on ‘The link between Defence and Foreign Policy – Ireland’s role on the Security Council’, on Monday 29 March 2021 at 1830 hrs.
