ARCOIreland regrets to inform its members of the death of Commandant Douglas (Dougie) Mc Manus of Forster Street, Galway City and late of Circular Road, Swinford, County Mayo. On Wednesday 18th September 2019, peacefully, in the tender loving care of the staff at ‘An Teaghlach Uilinn’ nursing home, Moycullen, County Galway; predeceased by his brother Fr. Denis C.S.Sp. He will be fondly missed by his sister Rhona (Navan), brothers Ray (San Diego) and Vincent (New York) and by his sister-in-law Ann, nephews John and Paul (San Francisco and Chicago), relatives and a large circle of loyal and devoted friends in particular Marita and Ger, Paddy and Finola, and Helen and Dave, whose extraordinary support he appreciated so much.

Reposing at ‘An Teaghlach Uilinn’ nursing home, Church Road, Moycullen (H91 RW96) on Thursday, 19th September from 6.30 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. Requiem Mass on Friday, 20th September at 11 a.m. at Saint Patrick’s Garrison Church, Renmore, Galway (H91 E22C). Funeral after Mass to Kilconduff Cemetery, Swinford, County Mayo to arrive at 3 p.m. approximately. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the Galway Hospice.
