
ARCO regrets to inform its members of the death of Lieutenant (Naval Service) Mark Causer, late of Wilton, Cork City and owner of The Clock Shop, Magazine Road. Mark passed away peacefully, on September 12th, 2026, after a short illness. Pre-deceased by his parents Edna and Frank, infant sister Susan, brother-in-law John Oliver and sister-in-law Mary. Beloved husband of Rosarie (née Regan) and devoted father to Evan, he will be sadly missed by his sister Mary and her husband Derek, nephews Peter and Andrew, niece Helen, cousin Brenda, his sisters-in-law Imelda and Regina, brothers-in-law Denis, Donal, Joseph, Gerard and their families, Evan’s partner Julie, extended relatives, Naval Service comrades and friends.

Mark Causer was a popular and well-respected Marine Engineer, who was commissioned into the Naval Service as a Direct Entry Officer following a career in the Merchant Navy. His service included a long-term posting on LE Emer followed by a period in the Marine Engineering Planning Office. Following retirement Mark settled in Cork and set up a successful horology business where his skill and attention were appreciated by his many customers.

Cremation Service will take place afterwards at 2.00pm (Eircode P43 DD71) at the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, County Cork.
