ARCO regrets to inform its members of the death of Captain Michael Maguire “Kincora”, Church Road, Tramore, County Waterford, and formerly of County Clare, who died on Saturday December 2nd 2023.

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. Pre-deceased by his adored wife Maureen. Sadly missed by his daughters Eileen and Mary, grandchildren Aoife, Darragh, Niall, Ronan, Jack, Conor, Ciara, Evan and great-grandchild Ben, sons-in-law, nieces, nephews, Defence Forces comrades, and many friends.

May Michael Rest In Peace

Michael Maguire served in the Defence Forces as an officer in the Corps of Engineers during the 1940s. On retirement he was Waterford City and County Chief Fire Officer. Active in many community endeavours, he was a former President of Waterford Lourdes Hospitalite, and a Trustee of Tramore Meals on Wheels. Michael was an Honorary Life Member of Tramore Golf Club.

Reposing at his residence on Monday from 5pm to 7pm with prayers at 6.30pm. Removal on Tuesday walking (weather permitting) to Holy Cross Church Tramore for Requiem Mass on arrival at 10am followed by burial in Fenor Cemetery. Family flowers only please donations, if desired, may be made to The Waterford Lourdes Hospitalite Invalid Fund.
